What is RIGHT with this world?

I was amused but disheartened to hear the situation that arose a few weeks ago in Dearborn, Michigan. A police officer admitted to confiscating marijuana from a suspect and then, instead of him being a loyal civil servant, he decides to take it home and bake it in a brownie treat, and shares with his wife!! Then in a weird turn of events, he and his wife went paranoid, and assumed they were going to die! They then called 911, and hilariously pleaded for an ambulance! After his supervisors were notified, instead of this man being fired, and charged with possession, he was given the option to resign! What is wrong with this picture? How can this be? This man has obviously mis-abused his authority, and to ad insult to injury, he is not arrested? Who can we trust to protect and serve, when the applications of justice are not enforced on crooked police? I feel this is once again GROSSLY INADEQUATE( my favorite adage)! Try youtubing it, it might make you laugh, but at the end its really very sad that we still condone this behavior in the U.S.

What is the States' role in the case of Jaycee Dugard?

I 'm sure we have all heard the case of Jaycee Dugard, the 29 y/o who was abducted at 13 and held captive by Phillip Garrido, and his wife nancy, and forced to bear 2 kids for her abductor. How could this happen? This man is a REGISTERED SEX OFFENDOR! Hello? Taxpayers hard money going down the drain, if these Correections Officials are NOT doing their job! This man has a suspiciaous compound in his backyard, with high fencing, and guard dogs? Does any one smell a rat? How can we be sure that the necessary precautions are being taken to protect the innocent public? How could this man go to jail for rape and kidnapping a YOUNG girl, only to be let out in 11 years to terrorize again, when the Mandatory Minimum for over drug trafficking 25 years? This is sad and disheartening, it is the states fault! 1. For letting this man out in the first place, and 2. For not thoroughly searching this man's house properly! That's all from my corner of the world!

Cuckolded in Georgia; Grossly Inadequate or Extortion?

I was troubled to hear the story of the Cook County,Ga resident, Frank Hatley, who had been incarcerated for back child support, only to find out the child in question, was found to be "not" his through paternity testing. Even after this discovery, the State of Georgia ordered Hatley to continue his back owed payments, citing it was during the time where he "believed" the child was his. The poor guy shelled out an additional $6,000 dollars, after 2000, when the results were reveiled. He even spent 6 months in jail in 2006, after falling behind on payments. I feel this costly mishap is GROSSLY INADEQUATE on the part of Ga lawmakers. There should be laws that make DNA testing mandetory for un-wed parents. Sure its great for TV, but if it were you, or anyone you know, it would be a NIGHTMARE! State of GA, Get with the Program! This is 2009 people, lets use what technology and science has to offer, and bring some order back into our state, so we wont have dilemnas like this in the future!
Thats me Just keeping it real in My Corner, See ya Next Week!!
